Playground on Hummingbird
Set up of the swing over leach field Saturday 5/22.
Scott Repucci on Friday evening and allowing us to use his backhoe on Saturday, sorry for breaking it. Others that help John Alden, my son-in-law, Randy ? I believe site 419, Norm Methot and Paula Cote and the leader of the Playground committee, slave driver Janet Methot.
You will notice the steel pads I had fabricated for each leg. These are 18" square x 1 1/2" thick, we cut a slot app. 4" ax 12" long and then welded 6" ax 6" angle iron with holes. Once we had the swing set we then drilled through the legs and bolted half-inch stainless steel bolts through legs and angle iron. This does two things holds the swing down, could not dig full deep due to leach field and then also the large pads spreads the weight over the leach field.
Was a fun day, sleep well that evening.
